Sammi Burns
Igrew up vacationing on the island every single year with my mom, dad, and two sisters before I could even walk. My parents also vacationed here as young kids, and they made sure to continue that tradition when they started a family. We always looked forward to our Hilton Head vacations and thought it would be a dream to live in this special place one day. That dream came true in 2001 when my family decided to move us from the Midwest to become official Hilton Head Island locals! Best decision ever, thanks mom and dad!
We fell in love with Sea Pines because of all it had to offer, so that’s where we bought our first house and lived in until my sisters and I went off to college. After graduating from Hilton Head Island High School, I attended Erskine College on a lacrosse scholarship and received a degree in Athletic Training. I’ve always been passionate about sports/living a healthy lifestyle and I wanted to carry that into my personal and professional endeavors. Being apart of sports teams throughout my adolescent years has taught me so many life skills that I will continue to practice and blend into every aspect of my life to be successful.
After I graduated college, I moved to Charleston where I lived for a little over a year. I found myself visiting Hilton Head almost every other weekend because I missed the lowcountry charm and the close local community, so I decided to move back in 2016. With my college degree and passion for health and fitness, I started working at LAVA Fitness as the Director of Training. Assisting others on an individual one-on-one basis is the most rewarding for me because I love being apart of someone’s life changing journey, and I will channel that in my Real Estate career as well.
With my transition into Real Estate, I believe that with the knowledge I have of this island, the relationships I’ve built, and the tools I’ve acquired personally and professionally, I can showcase the true value this island has to offer. Living here as an adult now has made me appreciate all the hidden treasures Hilton Head has, especially the breathtaking sunset views that I will never get tired of! This place is more than just home for me and I want to put a bigger footprint in this lowcountry community and help others find their own dream home in this little slice of paradise!
